The accused within the Hyderabad rape-murder case of a minor girl has been found dead on the railway tracks in Warangal amid a huge manhunt by the police and involves an encounter.
Earlier on Tuesday, Telangana Labour Minister Malla Reddy said that the accused within the Hyderabad rape case are going to be “killed in an encounter”.
As many as 15 police teams had been formed and sent to Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh to search for the accused.
The declaration was made by the Telangana DGP on Thursday morning, per week after the 6-year-old girl was found raped and murdered in Singareni Colony.
The case triggered massive outrage among locals, who demanded justice for the family of the toddler.
The rape accused’s body was found on the railway tracks near Ghanpur station in Warangal on Thursday.
The DGP also added, “Declared after the verification of identification marks on the deceased body.”
The police identified the accused with a tattoo on his hand. “It seems like an equivalent accused.
A final confirmation will come only after DNA and other scientific verification,” CP Hyderabad Anjini Kumar had told.
