The global think tank Tillotoma Foundation, in association with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India, organized the Track 2 Diplomatic Conclave titled “Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2022: Indo-Uzbek Synergy for Progress” on 6th May, 2022. Uzbekistan holds the Chair of the SCO for 2022.
The eminent speakers at the Conclave discussed ways to strengthen the Indo-Uzbek cooperation with special focus on the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
H.E. Ms Yojna Patel, National Coordinator of the Republic of India for SCO and H.E. Mr Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, National Coordinator of the Republic of Uzbekistan for SCO spoke at the Flagship Session of this Diplomatic Conclave. Both the National Coordinators made insightful presentations about the ongoing cooperation and the future prospects within the SCO.
H.E. Mr Dilshod Akhatov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India and Mr Soham Das, Chairperson & Director, Tillotoma Foundation spoke at the Inaugural Session of the Conclave.
The Technical Session of this Diplomatic Conclave saw the participation of several eminent experts from both India and Uzbekistan, including former diplomats. There was a detailed analytical discussion during the Technical Session.
Ms Kamakshi Wason, Vice President & Director of Academic Programmes, Tillotoma Foundation delivered the Closing Remarks and Vote of Thanks.
