The conflict between China and Taiwan may escalate. China is constantly putting pressure on Taiwan under its expansionist policy. According to media reports, the Taiwanese Defense Ministry tracked 11 Chinese military aircraft and five warships around Taiwan between Monday and Tuesday.
The report said that Chinese military aircraft and ships were tracked from 6 a.m. on Monday to 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that one of 11 Chinese military aircraft, a Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, flew southwest of Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). However, no Chinese military aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait centre line during this period.
Taiwan responded by sending ships, aircraft, and land-based missile systems to monitor Chinese military movements, according to Taiwanese media reports. China has flown 83 military aircraft so far this month, sending 57 ships around Taiwan. Also since September 2020, China has increased its use of grey zone tactics by increasing the number of military aircraft and ships stationed around Taiwan.
