The US has expressed its expectation that the Indian government will collaborate with Canada to investigate the possible involvement of New Delhi agents in the murder of a Canadian citizen in June. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed that Ottawa had credible intelligence linking Indian agents to the murder of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. New Delhi denies the allegation. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed deep concern over the allegations and called for India to work with Canada on the investigation. The White House has also expressed concerns.
