The license of an Air India pilot and a co-pilot was suspended by the DGCA after they allowed an unauthorized woman to enter the cockpit of an AI-445 flight from Delhi to Leh on June 3.
An officer gave this information. During the departure of Air India flight AI-458 from Chandigarh to Leh, the pilot in command allowed an unauthorized woman to enter the cockpit.
The first officer failed to object to this unauthorized entry, said an officer. DGCA has taken action after the investigation. The pilot license of the PIC has been suspended for one year and the pilot license of the first officer has been suspended for one month.
Earlier, Air India had taken disciplinary action against two pilots and suspended them for violating cockpit rules. The decision came after the airline received complaints from cabin crew, who raised concerns about the violation of cockpit rules.
