Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan wants to meet his wife Bushra Begum. He has appealed to the authorities for this. Imran Khan is currently lodged in Attock Jail. An Islamabad court on Saturday sentenced him to three years in the Toshakhana case.
Imran Khan’s lawyer reached the jail today (on Monday) to meet him. It was through the lawyer that he conveyed his request to the authorities. Imran Khan’s lawyer told that he has thanked the people who supported him. Imran Khan said that a core committee will be formed for further planning. According to Naeem Haider, who was part of the team of lawyers, Imran Khan told that he has been kept in C-category jail. A small room has been given and an open toilet has been made available.
According to Haider, Imran Khan said, “I have been kept in a dark room. There is no TV here. Newspaper is also not being given. The lawyer told that Imran Khan said, “Go and tell the media that I will die but will not accept slavery.” Imran Khan’s lawyers met him for two hours in the presence of jail officials. A petition has been given in the Supreme Court on Monday to cancel the sentence of Imran Khan. It has been requested in the petition that the sentence should be suspended till the decision of the Supreme Court.
