Australia to buy 220 cruise missiles from the United States. Australia is going to buy Tomahawk missiles worth about 900 million dollars.

The US State Department has approved the proposal to sell cruise missiles to Australia. After the US Parliament approves the bid, the sale process will proceed.

Under the Aucus agreement, Australia will buy and sell missiles to use them in submarines purchased from America. Australian Defense Minister Richard Malers has said that Australia will be able to protect itself by saying that after purchasing cruise missiles, Australia’s reach will extend beyond its borders.

The US Defense Ministry, the Pentagon, has also said that Australia will join the US defence system after receiving cruise missiles. Last Monday, an agreement was reached between the United States, Britain and Australia regarding the Aukas security strategy.

The US is going to buy 3 submarines from Australia.
