Britain’s foreign secretary including 36 others banned entering Russia

MOSCOW

Britain’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development James Cleverley is among 36 British nationals recently banned from entering Russia.

In addition to Cleverley, Minister for Leveling Up, Housing and Communities and Intergovernmental Relations Michael Gove, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Oliver Dowden, Minister without portfolio Nadim Zahavi and the General Staff will also attend, Xinhua news agency quoted a ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying. Prominent Patrick Sanders has also been blacklisted.

The Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday announced a travel ban on 36 British nationals because of London’s policy of confrontation against Russia.

The newly approved ministers include cabinet members, representatives of security services as well as journalists, the ministry said in a previous statement without disclosing their names.
