Madhya Pradesh, India

A male cheetah died on Friday in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park in India. It is being told that the name of the cheetah that died was Suraj. Officials say that the exact cause of Sooraj’s death is yet to be ascertained. The team of doctors is engaged in the investigation. Let me tell you, this is the 8th cheetah death in the park in the last four months, which includes five adults and three cubs.

Let me tell you, recently on June 25, this male cheetah Suraj of South Africa was released into the forest from a large enclosure. But on Friday the forest department employees found it dead in the forest. When the officials of the Forest Department came to know about this, there was a stir. The postmortem of the dead male cheetah Suraj is being done, after that, it will be clear what is the reason for its death. The process of death of cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno sanctuary does not seem to stop.

So far, a total of five adults and three cub cheetahs have died in the sanctuary. But till now the truth has not been revealed as to why these things are dying so quickly. What is the reason behind this? The officials of the Forest Department are refusing to say anything regarding this. Every time there have been allegations of negligence by the management, but they are ignored. Recently, a male cheetah named Tejas died in the Kuno Sanctuary on Tuesday. The postmortem report revealed that Tejas had gone into shock after a violent fight with a female leopard and was not able to recover from it.

Significantly, on 17 September 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight cheetahs from Namibia in Kuno National Park. Eight were brought from Namibia and 12 cheetahs from South Africa. Along with this, the female cheetah gave birth to three cubs. All the cubs have died in these. Along with this, five big cheetahs have died. There are 15 cheetahs left in Kuno National Park. In such a situation, the concern of the people associated with the Cheetah project has increased. After Suraj’s postmortem report, it will be clear how he died.
