China accuses US turning Taiwan into ‘weapons depot’

China has accused the US of turning Taiwan into a ‘weapons depot’. He made this allegation after the White House announced US $ 345 million in military aid for Taipei and Taiwan said on Sunday that it chased six Chinese naval ships off its coast. China’s Taiwan Affairs Office issued a statement late on Saturday opposing military aid to Taiwan. China asserts its claim on Taiwan.

Taiwan Affairs Office spokesman Chen Binhua said, “It doesn’t matter how much money Taiwan’s separatist forces cost ordinary taxpayers, how many weapons the US provides, but it doesn’t matter to solve the Taiwan issue or the unification of our motherland.” Our resolve to realize this will not waver.

“The US’s actions are turning Taiwan into a gunpowder dump and weapons depot, increasing the risk of war in the Taiwan Strait,” the statement said. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has increased targeted military activities towards Taiwan in recent years, including sending fighter jets and warships to the region to encircle the island nation.
