At least 33 people have died and 16 others have been injured in separate traffic crashes in eastern Afghanistan.
Ten collisions occurred in the Sorabi district of Kabul province, causing 17 deaths, including two children and four women.
Ten others were injured and were hospitalized for treatment.
Four more collisions occurred in eastern Laghman province, killing 15 people near the end of the highway between Kabul and Nangarhar.
One person was killed and six others were injured in other parts of the province.
Traffic crashes are common in Afghanistan due to poor road conditions and careless drivers on highways.
