Hawaii wildfires cause 93 deaths

The death toll from wildfires in Hawaii has risen to 93, according to the Maui County government in the US.

The wildfires were fueled by dry and hot weather, and high winds from Hurricane Dora, and spread over 400 hectares.

The fire destroyed several settlements, including the popular tourist town of Lahaina.

Authorities have blocked roads and suspended public transport, and hundreds of residents have been evacuated.

US President Joe Biden declared a major disaster in Hawaii, and federal resources are being made available to combat the wildfires.
