India: Rahul Gandhi met Manipur Governor

The second day of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Manipur. Rahul Gandhi met Governor Anusuiya Uike on Friday. He discussed the situation in Manipur. After the meeting, Rahul Gandhi said, there is a dire need for peace in Manipur.

Nothing to do with violence. I am ready to do whatever I can for peace here. Rahul Gandhi reached Manipur on Thursday. After this, the police in Bishnupur stopped them from going further. Then he went to Churachandpur by helicopter. And met the victims in the relief camp.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the relief camps in Manipur and later met the Governor. After the meeting, he said that I went to the relief camp and met people from every community. There is a shortage of medicines and food in the relief camps. To which the government should pay attention. I appeal to every person in Manipur to maintain peace. I am here and I will do what I can for peace.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also visited the relief camps on Friday. And left for Moirang to meet the affected people. After that, Rahul Gandhi met leaders of civil society organizations, leaders of the United Naga Council, 10 like-minded political parties and women leaders at the Imphal Hotel.

Rahul Gandhi met displaced people in Churachandpur

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had met people displaced by caste conflict in Churachandpur. On Thursday, he reached there by helicopter. After this, he wanted to go to Moirang, but the administration did not permit him.

BJP cannot tolerate opposition in the country – Kharge

On Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Manipur, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said, “A person who tries to understand people’s situation and know their difficulties is called drama.” This shows your authoritarian mentality. He cannot tolerate opposition in the country. I condemn people with such an ideology.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge further said, “When Amit Shah can go, why can’t the opposition go there?” If they went to Rahul Gandhi then drama aap gaye to kya mahadrama. You knew about his trip 4 days ago, so why didn’t you protect him earlier?
