Bijnor

A leopard, about two years old, was successfully rescued from a well in Khushalpur village, Dhampur police station area of Bijnor district. The leopard was trapped for over eight hours, possibly falling into the well during the dark of night.

The Bijnor Forest Department team successfully conducted the rescue operation, rendering the leopard unconscious in the second attempt using a tranquillizer gun.

After medical examination, the leopard will be released into the forest at a safe place. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on Monday in the village of Khushhalpur.
