Manipur Violence: State Police not able to investigate

A hearing is going on in the Supreme Court regarding the situation in the North East state of Manipur. During the hearing on Tuesday, CJI DY Chandrachud said that the state police have not been able to investigate, it has lost control, and there is absolutely no law and order.

During the hearing of the case, the Supreme Court said that there was a lot of delay in registering the FIR after the incidents in the state. The Supreme Court directed that the DGP of Manipur be personally present before the court at 2 pm on Friday and reply to the court.
