A man was killed after a bullet train hit him in Redwood City, California, on Tuesday afternoon. The officers provided this information. Around 12:30 p.m., one person, who has not been identified, died after being hit by a southbound train.
None of the passengers on the train were injured, Xinhua news agency quoted the train’s public information officer, Dan Lieberman, as saying.
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office Transit Police and the County Coroner visited the scene. According to Lieberman, the tracks were cleared by 3:00 p.m. The accident was the eighth death this year. The transit agency said five of them occurred in the past two months.
