Russia-Ukraine War: Russia’s airstrikes on last day of 2022

On Saturday, the Russian army carried out a major air attack on Ukraine, which is hoping that the difficulties will reduce in the new year. In the latest attack, 10 explosions were heard in the capital Kyiv. One person was reported killed and eight injured, including a Japanese journalist, in these attacks.

Saturday’s missile attack also hit a hotel and a residential building in Kyiv’s city center area. Preparations were underway to welcome the arrival of the new year on a small scale in this hotel. It was the third consecutive day of missiles and drone attacks on Kyiv.

The possibility of attacks has also been expressed on January 1 in the new year. The governor of Kyiv region Oleksiy Kuleba has said that the terrorist country is continuously attacking with missiles. He is saying Happy New Year through missiles but we are safe. Other cities in Ukraine have also come under fresh attacks. Six people were injured in the missile attack on the southern city of Mykolaiv. Two people were injured in the western city of Khmelnytskyi.

The city of Zaporizhia has also been targeted by Russian missiles. The information about the damage caused there is not yet available. Shelling is reported to be continuing in Donetsk province in eastern Ukraine. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has vowed to continue fighting until the end of Putin’s power in Russia, reporting attacks on civilian facilities.
