A shooting at a prominent shrine in southern Iran on Sunday night injured at least four people.

The attack on Shah Cheragh, one of the top five Shia pilgrimage sites, involved two temple employees and two pilgrims.

The attack follows an attack in October 2022 that killed 13 people and injured dozens more.

The attack was carried out by a man from Tajikistan, who later died in hospital from injuries sustained while being detained by security forces.

The details of the attack remain unclear.
