Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh combat China’s ‘Triangle of Death; Sri Lanka, Bangladesh support

Sri Lanka Hambantota Port

China’s ‘Triangle of Death’ consists of three ports in the Indian Ocean: Chittagong Port in Bangladesh, Hambantota Port in Sri Lanka, and Gwadar Port in Pakistan.

These ports can pose a threat to India, as China’s plan for South Asia involves launching a direct attack on India. India, aiming to maintain its dominance in the Indian Ocean, has been actively countering China’s ‘Triangle of Death’ by strengthening its ties with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka through energy and military hardware deals, while also enhancing power, maritime, and connectivity relations with these countries.
