Train collides with truck in Thailand, 8 killed

Bangkok

A train and truck collided in Thailand. Eight people have died in the accident. The dead include three women and five men.

The incident is from the Eastern Province, where a goods train rammed a truck crossing the track, killing eight people on the spot.

Four people have also been injured in the accident. Truck driver Vichai Ulek, 54, told authorities he saw the train coming and slowed down the truck, but passengers in the vehicle asked him to move, which led to the accident.
