The first Chinese Cultural Center in the Gulf region has launched its trial operation in Kuwait’s Hawali governorate. The center aims to promote cultural exchanges between China and the Gulf and strengthen the cultural foundation of the China-Arab community. The center will host activities such as Chinese language training, information services, image exhibitions, and film and television shows.
The Kuwaiti National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters’ assistant secretary general, Moussaid Zamir, expressed hope that the center will not only be a cultural center of China but also of Kuwait. Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait, Zhang Jianwei, emphasized the special friendly relationship between China and Kuwait.
The center will lead the development of cultural exchanges and strengthen the China-Arab community’s shared future. Over 100 people attended the ceremony, including the director of the Kuwait Chinese Cultural Center, Kuwaiti officials, members of Kuwait’s royal family, and representatives of Chinese enterprises in Kuwait.
