UAE leads digital transformation

The United Arab Emirates is committed to the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and tools in various sectors to accelerate the country’s digital transformation, said Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, the country’s Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and State. Al Olama made the remarks during a meeting of the UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain held at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in Dubai on Sunday, according to the official news agency WAM.

The minister said that by adopting digital practices and harnessing the potential of technology, the UAE aims to create new opportunities and design innovative models that will lay the foundation for a sustainable economy, reports Xinhua news agency.

The council is currently focusing on the second phase of its work, which aims to enhance the country’s competitiveness in priority sectors through deploying AI  government entities, developing AI systems and developing AI-driven customer services.
