London
The UK government has increased its awareness of migrants and imposed strict punishment on immigration lawyers who assist illegal immigrants. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed concern about illegal migrants, and the government has announced the formation of a new task force with strict punishment for immigration lawyers.
The Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) has shut down law firms helping illegal immigrants. UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman emphasized the need to root out and bring immigration lawyers to justice, stating that while most lawyers work with integrity, some lie to help illegal immigrants. Braverman emphasized the British people’s desire to end illegal immigration and crack down on unscrupulous lawyers.
The UK Immigration Act 1971, Section 25, allows for prosecutions against lawyers who fraudulently train migrants on how to live in the country. The task force is working with law enforcement to launch new prosecutions against corrupt immigration lawyers, now punishing lawyers for life for fraudulently helping illegal immigrants stay in the country.
