The Reliance AGM 2023 event, organized by Chairman Mukesh Ambani, is set to launch Jio’s first 5G smartphone, JioPhone 5G. The event, which will begin on August 28 at 2 p.m., will feature the launch of Jio 5G Recharge Plans, JioPhone 5G 2023, and Jio AirFiber 2023. Jio, now owned by Mukesh Ambani, launched its first affordable 4G smartphone in 2022.
The JioPhone 5G will feature a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a 1600 x 720-pixel resolution. Leaked images of the alleged Jio 5G smartphone reveal a dual-rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, as well as a 5-megapixel front camera. The device is expected to have a waterdrop-notch display and thin bezels.
The Jio 5G smartphone was spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench in December 2022, with features such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset, 4 GB of RAM, and the Android 12 operating system.
It will also have a 5000 mAh battery. Jio’s promise is that 5G services will be rolled out across the country by 2024. Additionally, Air Fiber 5G is expected to be launched at the Reliance AGM, providing high-speed 5G internet for home and office use.
