Chinese ‘Peace Angel’ Medics: Cambodian Patients Laud Free Medical Aid

PHNOM PENH

A Chinese “Peace Angel” medical team has provided free medical services to Cambodian patients, improving their health and saving them money on medical expenses. The team, led by Zhang Yi, began offering these services as part of the China-Cambodia “Peace Angel-2023” joint humanitarian exercise. Seavkheng, a 51-year-old Cambodian patient, has been suffering from chronic daily headaches and high blood pressure for two years.

The team’s treatment has been appreciated by many needy people in Cambodia, including Seavkheng, who believes that the free treatment will contribute to promoting friendship between the two countries. Em Sothea, a 54-year-old patient from Svay Rieng province, also expressed her satisfaction with the treatment and the quality of medicine provided. The team is scheduled to travel to the northwestern Siem Reap province to continue providing free medical services to patients.
