The “iYunnan” series of activities in Cambodia was held to mark the 65th anniversary of China-Cambodia diplomatic ties. The event was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, the Yunnan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Yunnan government’s information office, the National Television of Cambodia, and the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture.
The “iYunnan” series is an innovative non-governmental friendly exchange brand created by the Yunnan Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Over 100 excellent speeches, singing, and talent entries were prepared by 12 schools and over 100 teachers and students. Nine works won the first, second, and third prizes, while 52 won excellence awards.
Over 500 people participated in the event, where Chinese civilization and Angkor civilization intertwined, and the beauty of Yunnan’s humanities and Cambodian customs complemented each other. A joint performance by young people from both countries was also presented. The event was inaugurated with the opening of Cambodia’s “Silk Road Friendship Library” and introduced a special experience event “Go to the windy place – Dali.”
