US Parliament Speaker Kevin McCarthy has approved an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, following allegations of benefiting his son Hunter Biden in foreign business during his presidency from 2009 to 2017.
The investigation will be overseen by House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer, with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith assisting.
However, the White House has opposed the inquiry. Biden is accused of benefiting his son in foreign business during his time as President.
Republicans have presented evidence, including phone calls and money transfers, that supports corruption against the Biden family. The White House has opposed an impeachment inquiry.
